Once your flight arrives at Tri-Cities Airport (TRI) you can make your way into Bristol. All three towns make a good base for exploring the Cherokee National Forest to the south.

Novice cavers are welcomed at Appalachian Caverns Tours, where experienced guides will talk you through underground limestone galleries, featuring ancient stalactites and stalagmites.īristol is known as the Birthplace of Country Music, and is also home to a NASCAR circuit. Today, the local trails and Appalachian scenery keep the visitors coming. The airport itself is centrally located near Blountville, a historic stagecoach rest point for west-bound travelers. Tri-Cities serves business and leisure visitors to north-eastern Tennessee and is named for Kingsport, Johnson City and the twin cities of Bristol TN/Bristol VA.
